A host of clubs are keen to sign Jacob Murphy from Newcastle United this summer.
According to reports from The Sun, Turkish giants Galatasaray have joined the race to sign the 26-year-old winger.
A lot of Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on Murphy’s future at St James’ Park.
The report states that Premier League clubs like Leeds and Southampton are interested in signing him, while Burnley and Premier League newcomer Watford are also keen.
There have been interests from several European clubs. The likes of Porto and Bayer Leverkusen have also admired Murphy’s displays after an impressive end to the season.
Murphy has only 12 months left on his present deal. Steve Bruce wants him to stay at the club, and the Magpies are ready to offer him a long-term deal.
He was signed from Norwich for a fee of £12m from Norwich in 2017. Although he scored only two goals and three assists last season, his improved performances towards the end helped the Magpies stave off relegation.
Leeds could be looking to sign a new winger this summer following the departure of Pablo Hernandez who has left the club following the expiry of his contract.
Murphy has Premier League experience and he would come at a decent price, considering his contract situation.
Leeds impressed heavily last season, and they are a club heading in the right direction under Marcelo Bielsa. Murphy could be tempted to join them if indeed Leeds make an offer for him this summer.
