Netherlands international Denzel Dumfries continues to be linked with a move to Everton this summer.
According to De Telegraaf (via Sportwitness), the Toffees could wait until after the European Championships before they make a move for the right-back.
Apparently, Marcel Brands is a big fan of the Dutch international and it will be interesting to see if he can lure the 25-year-old to Goodison Park before the start of the next season.
It is no secret that Everton will have to sign a quality right back as a long term replacement for Seamus Coleman and Dumfries could prove to be a quality investment.
The 25-year-old defender has shown impressive development over the past year and he is likely to improve further with experience and coaching.
The PSV Eindhoven defender has a contract with the Dutch outfit until the summer of 2023 and it remains to be seen whether Everton follow up on their interest with a concrete offer in the coming weeks.
Dumfries has already proven himself in the Dutch League and he could use a step-up in his career now. A move to the Premier League could be the challenge he needs.
Playing at a higher level against better quality opposition will help him improve as a defender.
Everton have a quality defensive unit of Ben Godfrey, Lucas Digne and Michael Keane at their disposal. Signing a quality right-back could complete their back four for the next season.
