Inter Milan and Leicester City keen on Odsonne Edouard

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has been linked with a move away from Parkhead this summer and it seems that Italian giants Inter Milan have joined the race to sign him.

According to transfer market, the French striker’s performances have caught the attention of the Italian champions and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with a concrete offer for him in the coming weeks.

The report further states that Leicester City are interested in signing the player as well and they are leading the chase for the Frenchman.

The 23-year-old has caught 22 goals in all competitions for Celtic this past season and he will be a free agent next summer.

The Scottish outfit will be under pressure to sell him in the coming months if he does not agree to sign a contract extension with them.

Edouard is likely to be available for a reasonable fee because of his contract situation and he could prove to be a sensational long term addition for inter or Leicester.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers knows the player well from his time at Celtic and his connection with the striker could give the Premier League side an edge in the transfer chase.

The French under-21 international has a massive future ahead of him and he needs to choose his next move carefully.

Edouard must join a club where he will get to play regular first-team football and it might be difficult for him to do that at Inter Milan with the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku ahead of him in the pecking order.

As far as Leicester are concerned, they will be needing a long term replacement for Jamie Vardy soon and Edouard could be the ideal fit.
