James explained that he was not a Chelsea and Liverpool fan as a child

The Welshman just liked the London club players.

Daniel James has long been considered a Liverpool fan. Many British pundits said he supported other giants before joining United. James explained that the information is not true.

“When I signed with United, someone said I was rooting for Liverpool. I don’t think I was a Liverpool fan, but I never said that I was a Chelsea fan.

When I started playing for Swansea, Chelsea were just a team that I followed. This is not to say that I really rooted for them.
I looked at their players when I was younger. Hazard, Mata and Drogba were the players I liked. You just grow out of it. ” James explained to Manchester United Press Office.
