Leeds goalkeeper is the youngest owner of an own goal in Premier League history

A strange record for a goalkeeper.

In the Premier League round 25 match between Leeds and Wolverhampton, the goalkeeper’s own goal was the defining moment. Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier was the unwitting culprit of the episode. The ball from his back dived into the goal.

At the same time, this does not change the goalkeeper’s anti-record. At 20 years and 354 days, Meslier is the author of the youngest own goal in the history of the Premier League among goalkeepers.

The defeat had little impact on Leeds’ prospects. The team has practically secured a registration in the Premier League for next year.
