Premier League clubs not willingly punish players who violated quarantine rules

The leadership of the English Football Federation is concerned about the situation.

During the Christmas holidays, several players violated the quarantine rules at once. For example, Tottenham forward Eric Lamela was then expelled from the squad. Also, Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy did not enter the field against Chelsea.

According to the Daily Telegraph, English football leaders have reached out to the clubs. While the request is unofficial, there is a recommendation to severely punish those who break the rules.

Earlier, Guardiola commented in detail on the situation with the party at Mendy’s house.
