Leeds United will host Newcastle United in one of Wednesday’s Premier League matches and it has all the potential to be a great encounter.
Both teams have been playing at a similar standard this season with each side currently occupying the same positions within the table.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are one of the most appealing teams in the division this season, which has only further intensified the spotlight on their return to the top-flight. Everyone likes to see something new and bettors are no different, especially when some of the new casino websites that appear can be considered some of the best.
However, Steve Bruce’s side are also ploughing along and have been able to pick up their own impressive set of results along the way so far.
Recent form
The first thing that everyone will have been witnessed when watching Leeds is that the defence appears to come second to attack. Of course, winning games is all about who scores most and that seems to be the philosophy that Bielsa has adopted.
Indeed, their attacking nature has cost them in games as they have been left incredibly vulnerable at the back. Since November, the Whites have conceded four to Leicester City and Crystal Palace (in back-to-back games), three to Chelsea, and two to West Ham United after the Argentine manager revealed his team news days before kickoff.
However, with that said, Leeds did manage to beat Everton 1-0 and keep a clean sheet against Arsenal in an entertaining goalless draw that they could have won.
Newcastle, though, have started to get themselves amongst the goals as they have managed to record victories against Everton, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion in recent outings that also included defeats to Southampton and Chelsea.
Joelinton still might not look like the addition the Magpies would have hoped when he signed for big-money last season, however he is starting to do more with the ball than providing a tame effort at goal (although that still remains). Maybe whilst his luck and form is changing, the forward might want to try heading to casino joka casino en ligne and see if it continues.
Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron look dangerous enough to cause problems.
Team news
Part of Leeds’ woes in defence is because their backline has suffered with various problems. Robin Koch and Diego Llorente’s debut campaigns at Elland Road have been blighted with injuries and they remain absent.
However, Bielsa can call upon the likes of Pablo Hernandez and star striker Patrick Bamford for the contest, as both have been passed fit.
Bruce’s Newcastle squad were hit with the virus a couple of weeks ago, but Federico Fernandez has since recovered, whilst Ryan Fraser should be in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury.
