The EPL returns after the international break that saw the USMNT thrash Cuba 7-0 in the CONCACAF Nations League, before going down 2-0 in Canada in the same tournament.
Everton host West Ham United in the first game of the weekend, whilst the most-anticipated game come on Sunday when Manchester United play host to leaders and rivals Liverpool.
Manchester City will be desperate for three points at Crystal Palace on Saturday, as will Arsenal when they travel to Sheffield United on Monday Night Football.
Here are my tips for your fantasy football gameweek 9:
Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane have made a poor start to the 2019-20 season. A Champions League hangover and Christian Eriksen’s failure to get a transfer away from the club could both be a factor, but the international break may have done Mauricio Pochettino and his side well.
The Argentine manager needs three points this weekend and has the perfect opportunity to do so against the league’s bottom club. Watford have conceded 10 goals in their last two away games and more should be on the cards this weekend. Anyone with Kane in their team should make him captain for the weekend and enjoy reaping the rewards on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United are expecting to have Aaron Wan-Bissaka back this weekend. That’s the good news for the Red Devils. The bad news is that they are facing Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are widely expected to go to Old Trafford and collect three points this weekend. To do so, their front three will need to get among the goals. Should Luke Shaw return at left-back then he will be given the job of man marketing Mohamed Salah, and the England international is capable of doing that. But Mane down the wing, I don’t expect United to match up to that.
Leicester City host Burnley on Saturday in a game that Brendan Rodgers’ side are widely favored to win. The Foxes have been dependent on Jamie Vardy for goals as summer signing Ayoze Perez has yet to live up to expectations and James Maddison hasn’t reached the heights of last season.
Burnley do like to play defensive on the road but I am expecting goals from the hosts, with Vardy in mind. The former England international should be a solid choice for your fantasy team this weekend.
