3 best fantasy football captains for GW4

This will be the final Premier League gameweek before an early season international break. However, once the season reconvenes the fixture list only gets busier and busier as the Champions League starts and the EFL Cup gets into the latter stages.

Manchester United kickoff the weekend at Southampton before the likes of Manchester City host Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool travel to Burnley in three games that fantasy football players are most likely to have their eyes on. Super Sunday sees the first North London derby of the campaign as Arsenal host arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Here are my tips for your fantasy football captain this weekend:

Sergio Aguero

Manchester City host Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday in a game that Pep Guardiola’s side are expected to run riot on the visitors. The Seagulls play an attacking, attractive style under Graham Potter so don’t expect them to shut up shot.

This makes Sergio Aguero a great choice as your fantasy football captain as he closes in on 100 Premier League goals at the Etihad Stadium. Provided Pep doesn’t give the Argentine star a rest than Aguero will get on the scoresheet this weekend and I really wouldn’t be surprised if he bags a hat-trick.

Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City players are expected to pick up the most points this weekend, so if you cannot afford the 12.0 Sergio Aguero, then the 9.6 Kevin De Bruyne is a must in your midfield. The Belgian playmaker has made a cracking start to the season.

De Bruyne should get points for a couple of assists this weekend, may get a bonus point for an assist, although that’s far from certain, and I wouldn’t rule him out from getting on the scoresheet. Two goal involvements would be enough to see him get among the three bonus point players at the end of the game too.

Teemu Pukki

Teemu Pukki has made an excellent start to the season ahead of Norwich City’s trip to the London Stadium on Saturday. West Ham United have a leaky defence so the Finnish striker should be among the goals again this weekend.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Canaries come away from the capital with all three points in a game that I expect to be a number of goals. Pukki has scored 67% of Norwich’s goals in their first three games.
