The current Premier League table leaves just 7 points between West Brom in 20th and Watford in 11th. While these teams have nothing to play for in terms of trophies, the tight gap between half of the teams in the league creates plenty of excitement for fans of the Premier League.
The biggest match of week 27 is certainly Saturday’s early kickoff with the North London Derby taking place at Wembley. I must say that having so many matches taking place at Wembley for Tottenham has really taken the shine off of the place. It’s just another stadium now and certainly is nothing like the old Wembley. Regardless, this match is sure to be an exciting one.
Arsenal barely edge Tottenham for overall possession with 59.2% compared to 58.5%, however Spurs home statistics bump up to 60.9% while Arsenal’s is 58.4% on the road. Tottenham currently have the most shots per game at home with 21.2 per game while Arsenal take 14.2 on the road, which is good enough for fourth for shots per game away.
The big question marks in this match are whether Arsenal’s new attacking line can dominate the way they did against Everton in week 26. Tottenham go into this match having won or drawn their last 8 matches while Arsenal’s form has been sporadic with a 2-2-2 record in their last 6 games.
