Manchester United Makes £375,000-A-Week Contract Offer To Jose Mourinho

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has recently been flirting with Paris Saint-Germain. This is coming weeks after the news broke that the Portuguese manager held talks with officials at the French side last summer. The Parisiens are said to be unimpressed with current manager Unai Emery and see Mourinho as their number one choice as manager. And PSG must have received encouragement recently when Mourinho came out to say he will not finish his career at Manchester United. PSG officials could see that statement as a “come and get me” plea.

In a bid not to lose him, Manchester United are said to be working around the clock to ensure Mourinho has the sort of players he needs, that will not only make him stay at Old Trafford, but also capable enough to help Manchester United win the Premier League and Champions League again.

One of the players Mourinho reportedly wants is Arsenal star Mesut Ozil. The German is heading into the final six months of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium and is still yet to sign a new deal. Also, the playmaker isn’t showing any indication that he will sign a new deal. United have also been linked with the signing of Gareth Bale, as well as that of Antoine Griezmann, who was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer.

Aside from promising Jose Mourinho the signing of quality players, Manchester United are said to be ready to offer the former FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid manager a hefty £375,000-a-week contract which they hope will be good enough to fend off the interest from PSG.

If this report is true it will make Mourinho one of the highest paid football managers in the world, but whether it will be enough to fend off the interest of Paris Saint-Germain is what remains to be seen. One thing is certain however; the French club are very rich and are not scared to spend the money they have.
