Offer Made – Are Chelsea Set To Sign This 17 Goal, 11 Assists, £320,000/Week Star?

Chelsea are very likely to be in the market for another striker this January. With Michy Batshuayi injured and likely to be out for a while, manager Antonio Conte only has Alvaro Morata to call on in the striker department. The Italian will aim to address this situation in the summer and has so far been linked with many names in this department.

Although former Zenith St Petersburg star Hulk is yet to be linked with the Blues of late, he was linked with the club a couple of years back, and according to the player, who currently plays in China with Shanghai SIGP, he has received an offer for his services from England and elsewhere:

“I received one contact from the Premier League and quite a few others from other countries.

“I admire the Premier League very much and it’s considered not by accident the best league in the world.

“Of course I follow it but I am happy here. I have almost three more years on my contract so I am happy here.

“But one never knows in football, everything can happen and my agent receives contact from Europe, including from the UK.”

Could Chelsea be one of those who have bid for him? Judging by their NEED, it is very possible that Chelsea are one of the clubs to have made an offer for the powerful striker.

Arsenal have Alexandre Lacazette, Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott to call upon upfront and do not need another striker, especially as they have youngsters such as Chuba Akpom and Edward Nketiah waiting in the wings. Manchester City have Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus and are not lacking goals from midfield, and are also likely to sign Alexis Sanchez in January. Manchester United have Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and soon to return to fitness, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Tottenham have Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Fernando Llorente. Judging by this, only a Chelsea and maybe Everton could have made offers for the Brazilian.

Everton may have the money to spend and certainly could do with a good striker but I doubt they are attractive enough for Hulk. Chelsea have a good chance of signing the Brazilian and have the resources to do so. It is very possible that Everton are the one to have made a bid for Hulk, but if Chelsea want him I think they would easily beat off competition from Everton for his signature.

Hulk has so far this season scored 17 goals and created 11 assists in 26 appearances for his Chinese club. According to a report by the Sun and various other media outlets, Hulk currently earns £320,000 a week which is another thing that makes me think Chelsea are the one Hulk is referring to and not Everton.
