Premier League Stars for Club and Country

Club football in the modern age can boast more of an international flavour than ever before, especially in the Premier League. Many of the leading stars in world football are showcasing their talents in England, making the competition one of the highest profile competitions the game has to offer, as matches are broadcast around the globe.
Positive form at club level can lead to players getting an opportunity to shine for their country. The reverse can also be true, as players impress with their national teams and attract the interest of leading clubs eager to sign them.
Arguably one of the most demanding achievements to maintain for any player, leading to great debate amongst fans and pundits alike, can be producing consistently top-notch performances on both stages. In this article, we take a look at three starring attractions in the Premier League, who are doing precisely that.
Paul Pogba
Wherever you choose to look for your regular dose of statistical information, and in particular for midfielders, Paul Pogba always ranks amongst the highest rated players in the Premier League. Even with some injury niggles early in the 2017/18 season and fewer minutes of action than some of his rivals, the quality and consistency of his Manchester United performances have been exceptional.
Given the abundance of talent in their side, Oddschecker recently favoured France to keep scoring plenty of goals in their bid to reach the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Considered one of the very first names on the team sheet, every game, Pogba is a central figure in their plans and always rates amongst the best performers.

Harry Kane
Still just 24, Harry Kane has already won the Premier League Golden Boot twice over the last two seasons. Scoring four goals in the opening six encounters of the 2017/18 season, he has every chance of winning the award for a third consecutive season. Absolutely vital for Tottenham Hotspur, his consistently high level of performance makes him a key figure in their plans.
With 21 international caps already under his belt, Kane already reached the landmark of scoring 10 goals wearing the Three Lions on his shirt. Proud of his achievements and keen to reach even more impressive scoring milestones, this is a player who could genuinely overtake England legends such as Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton.

Alvaro Morata
Following his protracted transfer from Real Madrid in the summer, Chelsea needed the maximum return on their huge outlay for 24-year-old Alvaro Morata. He certainly hasn’t disappointed; already contributing six goals and two assists in his first six appearances. They are early days in the Premier League for the Spaniard, but he arrived with plenty to prove and is wasting no time in showing what he’s capable of.
Although hardly a new face in the Spanish national team, like a fine wine, Morata seems to keep maturing and improving with every year. Competition in the squad is fierce, but he rarely fails to deliver and has already contributed 12 goals in 22 international appearances. Both for club and country, he is making Diego Costa seem like a distant memory.
