Week 27 Premier League Predictions 2016-17

Each week I take a look at the Premier League fixtures, table, and statistics to provide a brief analysis and predictions including FPL matchups for week 27.  Get your fantasy tips here to set your team whether you play in the official FPL game, daily fantasy, or a draft fantasy Premier League game.

Certainly the biggest shock in week 26 was Leicester’s 3-1 romp over Liverpool. This weekend Liverpool host Arsenal in what should be a great match. Liverpool have lost just one match at home while scoring 31 goals and allowing 11. This is compared to Arsenal on the road where they have a mediocre 6-3-3 record while scoring 28 and allowing 15.

The recent form of both teams favors Arsenal (D, W, W, L, L, W) compared to Liverpool (D, L, D, L, W, L) even if their last win was over Hull City over two weeks ago. It’s hard to see past a draw for this one, but either team could surprise with a win in this one.

Week FPL 27 FPL Matchups

Whether playing in a draft league, the official game or daily fantasy, there are some excellent options for this weekend. Harry Kane is in excellent form and facing an Everton team that has allowed 17 goals on the road. Everton themselves have been in decent form lately (W, W, D, W, D, W), but they have only scored 15 goals on the road while Tottenham have allowed just 5 goals at home this season while also winning their last 8 home matches. Both teams have kept several clean sheets in recent matches with Spurs doing so in 6/7 Premier League matches while Everton have 5/7.

The biggest news for week 27 is the double gameweek available for both Stoke City and Man City. It’s a good time to pick up attacking options for both teams and an especially good time to add Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, and Raheem Sterling, or any combination of the three that you can use. With Man city facing Sunderland away on the weekend followed by a midweek home match is excellent time to pick up some much needed fantasy points. The only problem here is whether or not Aguero will play. He did well in the midweek FA Cup replay, but will he get rotated again? I think there would be a chance of this if Jesus was available, but at this point, it looks like Aguero will start up front in both matches. If he is on the bench for either match, it will almost certainly be Sunday versus Sunderland.

That wraps up the predictions and fantasy tips for week 27. Hopefully you have all been planning your team well for the shortage of Premier League matches coming up in week 28. Of course, this will later be followed by planning your team for the future double gameweeks. Good luck and have fun!
