Week 26 Premier League Predictions 2016-17

Each week I take a look at the Premier League fixtures, table, and statistics to provide a brief analysis and predictions including FPL matchups for week 26.  Get your fantasy tips here to set your team whether you play in the official FPL game, daily fantasy, or a draft fantasy Premier League game.

I will start out this week with a reminder that there will only be 8 Premier League matches this weekend with four teams not playing. Arsenal, Man City, Manchester United, and Southampton will all be without Premier League games and will have a double gameweek later in the season. Make sure to follow up with your fantasy teams and make any necessary changes.

Week FPL 26 FPL Matchups

Everton and Hull City both have a string of mostly favorable matches coming up including having a match to play in week 28 when there will only be 8 teams playing (potentially 10 depending on FA Cup replay outcomes).

Everton’s next set of matches include: Sunderland (H), Tottenham (A), West Brom (H), and Hull (H). Tottenham will certainly be a tough match while West Brom could prove tricky as well, but facing two of the bottom sides in the league should be worth some fantasy points.

I recommend Hull City due to their recent turn in form having picked up 7 points in their last 5 matches. They have looked like a much better team since bringing in Marco Silva as their manager. They are also a team that will play matches in both week 26 and week 28. Their upcoming fixtures include Burnley (H), Leicester City (A), Swansea (H), and Everton (A). All of these matches are winnable and the most tricky will be Everton.

West Brom and Liverpool are excellent picks as well for the upcoming set of fixtures. Both will play matches in week 26 and 28 and have mostly favorable matchups. West Brom play against Bournemouth (H), Crystal Palace (H), Everton (A), then Arsenal (H). Even the Arsenal match could work out well in their favor depending on the Gunners form by that time.

Liverpool seem to have gotten out of their funk and have some chances to pick up some much needed points. This weekend they face Leicester City (A) followed by Arsenal (H), Burnley (H), then Man City (A) before the derby against Everton (H) in week 30.

At this point I’d recommend staying away from Arsenal, Manchester United, and Southampton since they will have just one Premier League match in the next three weeks. I’d also recommend steering clear of Bournemouth and Sunderland.

Both Bournemouth and Sunderland have some difficult matches coming up and their form (especially Bournemouth) has not been good lately.

Regardless of the format that you play in, I hope that you enjoy the upcoming fantasy gameweeks. Good luck and have fun!
