Week 17 Premier League Predictions 2016-17

Another quick turnaround brings week 17 Premier League matches on Saturday through Monday. With many teams dropping points at the top and middle of the table there has been some leveling out among the various tiers of the Premier League table. Despite that there is just as much separation between the various tiers of the table as there has been in the past two months. Few teams have made much in the way of progress, but there have been some incremental changes in the points gaps for a few teams.

Week FPL 17 Matchups

Tottenham v Burnley: Spurs may have struggled to produce anything against Manchester United, but their midweek 3-0 home win against Hull City shows that they can put up the goals against weaker opposition. Burnley is certainly that. They have yet to get a win on the road and have just 1 draw away from home while also allowing 19 goals. If you don’t already have Harry Kane in your team, this is the time to add him. Likewise for any of the defensive pairings including Alderweireld and Vertonghen.

West Ham v Hull City: City has been about as bad as team as there is this season. On the road they have 1 win and 1 draw with 6 losses and 20 goals allowed. West Ham hasn’t fared a whole lot better with a 3-2-3 record at home where they have allowed 14 goals and scored just 8. In their past five home matches they have won 2 and drawn 2 with just the one 1-5 loss to Arsenal. Both of West Ham’s top players are solid picks for week 17 with both Michail Antonio and Dimitri Payet playing well in recent matches.
