Week 9 Premier League matches arrive this weekend with the top of the table very tight. One point currently separates the top five places. Meanwhile, the bottom of the table features five teams with less than 10 points. It certainly does seem that season is the most competitive, primarily at the expense of those teams at the bottom of the table.

Here are a few FPL matchups to target for this weekend:
Arsenal: They are on the road to Sunderland, but the Black Cats have been miserable this season. FPL managers need to just hope that the Arsenal of week 8 don’t show up.
Watford: At this point the teams playing Sunderland Hull City are the top FPL picks. Watford host Hull making them big favorites for this weekend. Hull’s -14 goal difference is the worst in the league having allowed 22 goals and scoring 8 so far.
Everton: Attacking options may be the better option here, although Everton’s home defense has been quite good allowing just 3 goals this season at Goodison Park. West Ham has given up 9 goals in away matches while scoring 5 compared to Everton’s 6 scored at home.
I’m hoping that week 9 goes better than last week went, particularly for my FPL team. Either way, I am hoping for some exciting matches and wouldn’t mind seeing an upset or two this weekend.
