This seems to be the week that everyone is finally talking up Leicester City’s chances at winning the title. It will be interesting to see what is being said next week and where they are in the table. Obviously their trip to Arsenal on Sunday morning is the big match of the weekend, but even an Arsenal win would leave Leicester top of the table after 26 games.
The key point that most pundits have been making is that Leicester’s last set of fixtures gets significantly easier for them and comparatively more easy as well when looking at Tottenham, Arsenal, and Man C.
There is also the fact that Tottenham and Man C face off in the last match of the weekend with one point separating the two. While the top four teams will all remain in the top four, there could be a reshuffling of the 2-4 spots in the table.

When you look a bit further down the table the Sunderland v Manchester United match kicking off week 26 is a massive one. Sunderland have started to look like a better team in recent weeks, but remain winless in their last four and are still second from the bottom of the table. Even a win over United wouldn’t be enough to get them out of the relegation zone.
Manchester United are now in a place of needing to win to keep up any chance of regaining a top four spot, and with West Ham just two points behind them they could drop further down the table with a loss.
This is one match that could be a good chance to stack FPL players. With United starting to get into better form recently and Sunderland still leaking goals, there should be points in this match.
Normally a Liverpool stack against Aston Villa would be warranted, but both teams have had spotty performances recently, which includes Aston Villa’s win in week 25. Still, Liverpool’s scoring form of late has been good, making them a decent pick for attacking points.
Everton face West Brom which is another chance for some good attacking FPL points. In the last two matches Everton has scored three goals in each match and kept clean sheets while the other side West Brom has scored one and allowed two. It should be noted that West Brom has failed to win in their last seven matches away from home.
Chelsea’s home match against Newcastle is another good chance for points, especially with Chelsea starting to pick up some results. Over their last three matches Chelsea has kept two clean sheets and allowed one goal. On the other side Newcastle United did manage a 1-0 home win over West Brom last week, but Newcastle has also lost 15 out of their last 18 away matches.
That wraps up the week 26 Premier League predictions. Hopefully these predictions can help out with setting up your FPL teams, whether you play the official game, a draft format, or DFS. Good luck and have fun!
