As far as FPL matchups go this weekend doesn’t have a much in the way of one sided stacks to go with other than maybe Arsenal or Tottenham. Many pundits are picking Liverpool as the big stack for the weekend. While this is probably a good call, I’m tipping Sunderland to also get on the score sheet.

The last time that Liverpool kept a clean sheet was their 0-1 win over Sunderland back on Dece 30. Since then they have allowed at least one goal in their 5 Premier League matches and have given up at least two goals in 4/5 including 3 against Arsenal and 4 against Norwich.

On the Sunderland side, the Black Cats have scored in 4/5 of their last matches following that 0-1 to Liverpool. The only match they haven’t scored in was the week 24 0-1 loss to Man C in which they looked like the better team at various points throughout the match.

I know that in this matchup I’m going against the previous fixture matchup stats that include Liverpool’s 3 clean sheets in the last 3 meetings as well as Liverpool’s 13 match unbeaten at home against Sunderland. Instead, I’m sticking with the most recent form of these two teams and their trend of both scoring and allowing goals.

One quick note for all FPL players out there is that now is the time to start preparing for the upcoming weeks that have blank games being played. Week 27 is already set up with Everton, Liverpool, Man C, and Newcastle not playing due to the Capital One Cup final.

As far as big injuries go, the two to really keep an eye on are Delle Alli and Lukaku, with both currently being listed as probable. While Aguero appeared to have tweaked something after scoring against Sunderland, Man C’s match against top of the table Leicester means that he will most certainly be starting.

That wraps up the week 25 Premier League predictions with my FPL matchups for this set of fixtures. Good luck and have fun!
