Premier League Predictions: Todd’s Week 25 EPL Match Picks

Week 25 Premier League PredictionsWeek 25 in the Premier League means that we are rapidly running out of games. There are now only 13 matches left in the 2014-15 season, which is still plenty to decide positions in the table, but is also starting to cut things close for some teams.

The past weekend’s matches were full of action, very entertaining and did little to really solidify the standings. Unless of course you count the fact that Chelsea won yet again to retain their place at the top of the table with a seven point lead over Manchester City.

The midweek matches include several teams desperate for points to move up the table at both the top and bottom.

Hull’s weekend draw gave them some hope and facing off against Aston Villa could see the two teams swap places in the table. There’s also the chance that Burnley will get dropped down into the bottom three as Manchester United seek a win.

Tottenham travelling to Liverpool makes up the big match of the weekend. While Liverpool can’t catch Spurs with a win, they can at least continue to close the gap in their quest for top four. Tottenham go into the match following three straight wins and will be looking to continue this trend. I’m picking Spurs for the win, but it’s going to be a very close one.

This leads into Southampton vs West Ham United and whether Southampton can continue their tremendous run towards the Champions League. West Ham will likely play much the same way they did against Manchester United on the weekend by making themselves hard to beat and look for a goal on a set piece. Still, Southampton have the best defensive record and continue to find ways to score and win.
