Fantasy Friday: Tips for Week 11 Premier League Fantasy

Premier League Fantasy TipsWeek 11 for the Premier League Fantasy brings us another weekend of Diego Costa watch. For this week’s tips I will be looking at some of the key matchups along with some of the fantasy players you should look at bringing into your team this weekend.

Coming into the week 11 matches the top five players include Alexis Sanchez (MID), Sergio Aguero (FWD), Cesc Fabregas (MID), Graziano Pelle (FWD), and Leyton Baines (DEF). You really couldn’t go wrong including all five in your team with four of them already proven fantasy players and Pelle continuing to show he is ready for the Premier League.

Matchups for this weekend to look at

Normally seeing Manchester City take on a relegation embattled Queens Park Rangers would be a sure thing, but this has not been a good week, or even a good season, for City and this could be another disaster waiting to happen for them. Yet, it is hard to look past the Citizens firepower up front. While I wouldn’t recommend any City defenders, Sergio Aguero is a player who can create things and make a goal or two for himself.

Two matches to really take a look at this weekend are Southampton and West Ham United at home to Leicester City and Aston Villa respectively. Both the Saints and Hammers have put on some fine attacking displays this season and have solid midfielders and defenders. In all reality, I would say that, based on current form, you can’t really go wrong picking players from either team.

Southampton have surprised many with their performances this year and already have four players in the top ten for Premier League fantasy scoring. This includes Pelle (FWD), Nathaniel Clyne (DEF), Ryan Bertrand (DEF), and Dusan Tadic (MID). Unfortunately you can only choose three of these and I would suggest taking Pelle, Tadic, and either one of the defenders.

In addition you can always look at bringing in Jose Fonte (DEF), Morgan Schneiderlin (MID), or Fraser Forster (GK).

West Ham United may not be piling on the fantasy points, but they are facing off against a lackluster Aston Villa. Diafra Sakho could be in line for a return this weekend, but you may really want to look at Enner Valencia. In the past three games he has scored five, six and eleven points. He is playing with something to prove and coming up against a rather poor Villa defense.

Stewart Downing has become a player who can put in the big performance here and there, but he continues to be rather inconsistent with matches scoring just a two or three in between the matches of 10 or 13. Both he and Mark Noble could be bargain midfield buys while goalkeeper Adrian, at just £5M, could secure a clean sheet for you this weekend against a Villa team that has scored just five goals.

Saido Berahinho could be another rather cheap option up front for £6.1M. Last week was nothing amazing for him, but it was preceded by two solid performances and West Brom is hosting Newcastle United in a match that should see goals scored.

To answer the initial lingering question about Diego Costa, he does look likely to start on Saturday morning and he could have a good match against Liverpool’s often frail defense.

Good luck in this week’s Premier League fantasy!
