Atletico Madrid v Chelsea

The fairy tale continues for Atletico Madrid and their fantastic season. They are currently top of La Liga, a full four points ahead of Barcelona and six up on rivals Real Madrid. Facing Chelsea will not be an easy task, but one that they should be up for. They will have top scorer Diego Costa ready to go which could make all the difference.

Chelsea come into this match as underdogs, something that Jose Mourinho will certainly relish. I’d expect him to start with a largely midfielder dominated team and attempt to shut down Atletico Madrid while counterattacking.

Betting Odds (Bovada):

A. Madrid win: 1.87; Draw: 3.40; Chelsea win: 4.50

Form: A. Madrid (W, D, W, W, W, W) Chelsea (L, L, W, W, W, L)

Pick: A scoring draw.

Real Madrid v Bayern Munich

This is certainly the match that most people would have preferred for the final. Real Madrid are seeking their tenth European Cup while Bayern Munich are looking for their sixth.

Don’t expect anything like the previous rounds performance from Bayern Munich, especially considering the dynamic play styles of both Bayern and Real. Neither team is likely to sit back and defend, but I would expect plenty of fast paced counter attacking from both teams. This should be highly entertaining.

Betting Odds (Bovada):

Real Madrid win: 2.30; Draw: 3.50; FC Bayern win: 3.00

Form: R. Madrid (W, W, W, L, W, W) B. Munich (D, L, W, L, W, W)

Pick: A Real Madrid win with both teams to score.
