Fantasy Friday: Gameweek 29 EPL Fantasy Tips

Premier League Fantasy Tips

This weekend is gameweek 29 in the Premier League Fantasy season and features just five matches. It seems almost pointless to have fantasy games this weekend at all, but there will be points and fantasy soccer team owners need to be aware of who is playing.

This weekend owners need to note that the five teams playing in the Premier League this weekend include: West Brom v Manchester United, Cardiff City v Fulham, Crystal Palace v Southampton, Norwich City v Stoke City, and Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur. With this in mind there are some chances to pick up cheap points if you want to take a risk on some players from teams like Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Norwich, or Stoke.

Last weekend’s team of the week includes several players playing this weekend including Stoke’s goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and midfielder Johnathan Walters, Chelsea’s midfielders Andre Shurrle and Eden Hazard, as well as Tottenham’s defender Kyle Naughton.

With Liverpool and Manchester City off this weekend teams need to be sure to drop some of the top scoring players including Daniel Sturridge, Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri, and Yaya Toure. In their place you can look at some of these players:

Eden Hazard has continued to impress this season in contributing goals and assists for Chelsea. With the Blues staying at home this weekend he stands a good chance of picking up several more points.

Norwich City’s defense: Norwich is playing at home this weekend and hoping to add to their four match streak of clean sheets. Included in this would have to be midfielder Robert Snodgrass who has contributed three goals this season.

Juan Mata could be a decent pickup, although he is rather pricey. This could be a risky move, but one that could really pay off if he comes good.

Cardiff City will be playing at home and there are several decent players you could pick up on the cheap. Up front, Frazier Campbell is a good choice while midfielders are a bit more difficult to look at. There two best fantasy midfielders, Pete Whittingham and Jordan Mutch, have not played much lately, which really just leaves Gary Medel, though he’s more of a holding/defensive midfielder. At the back Steven Caulker is a solid choice.

This should be the last shortened weekend of matches, at least for a little while.
