West Ham United
The away 2-0 win over Aston Villa was well timed and much needed to keep them moving up the table. It was also their third consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League. It was also their second straight EPL win, both of which they have scored two goals. In their last six home matches they have gone 2-2-2 with three clean sheets while also scoring at least two goals in three matches.
The 0-0 home draw against Manchester City is probably the highlight of the season for Norwich City. It was a match in which they remained defensively solid despite having just 32% possession and with 79% of the ball in the middle or home third of the pitch.
This was their third clean sheet in their last four Premier League matches, with two of them being 0-0 draws. However, they have just one win in their last 10 EPL games.
My pick is a narrow West Ham United win, however, a draw is probably the more likely result at this point. Both teams are level on points with 25 while West Ham has a better goal difference putting them above Norwich in 15th place in the table.
In their last six meetings West Ham has four wins with one win for Norwich and one draw. In West Ham United’s home meetings with Norwich they hold the advantage with two wins and one draw.
Betting Odds (Ladbrokes):
West Ham win: 2.05; Draw: 3.40; Norwich win: 3.60
Form: West Ham (L, W, L, D, W, W) Norwich (D, L, W, D, L, D)
Prediction: West Ham United 1 – 0 Norwich City
