Tottenham Hotspur

In recent weeks Tottenham has started to gain some ground in terms of attacking ability and getting results going their way. This was derailed in their 2-0 away loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup, but this could be a catalyst to help them going forward.

In their last nine Premier League matches they have just one loss, the 0-5 home loss to Liverpool on December 15. Since that loss they have scored nine goals and allowed four while going 3-1-0.

Crystal Palace

Bringing in Tony Pulis seems to have been a positive move for Crystal Palace. They are still in the relegation zone in 18th place with 17 points, but are just on the edge and have plenty of time to pull themselves clear. Over the weekend they managed a 2-0 away win over West Brom in the FA Cup.

In their last six matches they have scored five goals and allowed seven with goal scoring still a problem for them as the team with the lowest goals scored at just 13. The positive signs do come in their last three matches where they have allowed just two goals and kept a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Aston Villa. Against Manchester City they did well in setting themselves up as a defensively sound side that mostly frustrated and nearly came away with a draw.

This is a match that could be very close. I’m predicting Crystal Palace to set themselves up to frustrate Spurs and make them difficult to beat. They will need to score if they hope to get a result as I expect Tottenham to get at least one goal.
