Stoke City

Stoke City come in to Sunday’s match on the back of a solid 2-1 FA Cup win. Prior to this they were able to hold Everton to 1-1 draw at home in the Premier League. Their recent form does include a 5-1 away loss to Newcastle United and a 3-0 away loss to Tottenham, but they have proven to be a tough side to beat at home.

Liverpool also did well in their FA Cup match by beating Oldham 2-0. In the Premier League their most recent result was a 2-0 home win over Hull City which was preceded by back to back 1-2 away defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea.

In the Premier League this season Liverpool has failed to score in just two matches; the 0-1 home loss to Southampton and the 2-0 away loss to Arsenal. Since that Arsenal loss back at the start of November Liverpool has scored 29 goals.

I know that Liverpool are the favorites in this one, but my pick is for a draw. Stoke City has been building on their results this season and being at home gives them something of an edge where they are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League matches. This compares to Liverpool who have given up at least two goals in six out of their last seven away EPL games.

Betting Odds: Stoke win: 5.48-6.22; Draw: 3.86-4.21; Liverpool win: 1.62-1.67

Form: Stoke (W, D, W, L, L, D) Liverpool (W, W, W, L, L, W)

Prediction: Stoke City 2 – 2 Liverpool
