Fantasy Friday brings you tips for each gameweek of the Premier League. In week 19 of the EPL there are several quality matches as well as solid players to look at including in your fantasy Premier League team.
The Boxing Day matches were a day for goals as well as changes in points. The best fantasy goal keeper, Everton’s Tim Howard, had a horrible match week after getting a red card that resulted in the game winning goal for Sunderland. The goal scorer, Ki Sung-Yeung ended up having an excellent match day.
Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez along was the high scorer while Arsenal’s Theo Walcott had an excellent day. Loic Remy could have had more points, but his missed penalty hurt him.
This weekend might be another week to put Luis Suarez on the bench. Wayne Rooney has been putting in some solid performances recently and with Manchester United travelling to Norwich could continue racking up points.
I would say that choosing players from Newcastle, Arsenal, Everton, Southampton, Chelsea and Liverpool will all be risky. These are some huge matches that could go either way. Everton and Southampton defenders and midfielders might be worth looking at as this could end a 0-0 draw. The same could be said for Chelsea and Liverpool. Newcastle and Arsenal looks like it could be a much more open match and be a good one for some midfielders and forwards.
Other low scoring matches could include West Ham United v West Bromwich Albion as well as Hull City v Fulham. With Swansea City facing a struggling Aston Villa, it could be the week that the Swans go out and get some goals.
Some of the most in form players recently to look at include:
Wayne Rooney – Manchester United forward
Seamus Coleman – Everton defender
Yaya Toure – Manchester City midfielder
Mesut Ozil – Arsenal midfielder
Jay Rodriguez – Southampton forward
Theo Walcott – Arsenal midfielder
Eden Hazard – Chelsea midfielder
Vito Mannone – Sunderland goalkeeper
Yohan Cabaye – Newcastle United midfielder
Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling – Liverpool midfielders
Danny Welbeck – Manchester United forward
For this week there are several players out either injured or suspended. Some particular players to note include:
Tim Howard – one match suspension
Ramires – one match suspension
Sergio Aguero – injured
Aaron Ramsey – injured
Jan Vertonghen – injured, but questionable
Dejan Lovren – illness, questionable
