Manchester United have now gone six games undefeated in the Premier League. At home this season they have been beaten just once, by West Brom. In Sunday’s match against Tottenham Hotspur, they struggled to break down what was a solid defensive line, despite having Antonio Valencia dominating the right side in attack. While they did have 60% possession, most of that possession was in either their defensive third or midfield. They did put in eight shots with three on target to get their two goals. They also played fairly well on defense, but gave up far too many fouls and dangerous free kicks with 15 fouls and the first goal for Spurs coming from a free kick.

Everton is also unbeaten in their last six EPL games. Their last match was a dominating home display against Stoke City in which they won 4-0 while putting 12 of their 22 shots on target and with a pass completion of 85%. The win moved Everton up into fourth place where they are two points ahead of Manchester United.

My prediction is for another draw. Everton has six draws compared to United’s four this season, two of which came at home. I would still give Manchester United a slight edge since they are at home, but Everton have played well this season and do have quick players. Everton need to look to press United hard and control the midfield, which is quite doable against this team.

Betting Odds: Man United win: 1.74-1.80; Draw: 3.63-3.75; Everton: 4.57-5.00

Form: Manchester United (D, W, W, W, D, D) Everton (W, W, D, D, D, W)

Prediction: Manchester United 2 – 2 Everton
