The week 4 Premier League Predictions have been posted, so go read up on my EPL picks for the weekend. Be sure to also check out the Premier League TV Schedule and 2013-14 Premier League Table.

Newcastle United’s season did not start out well at all. Now that Yohan Cabaye has apologized for his antics during the transfer window it seems that Newcastle will settle down and kick on.

Hull City have actually played somewhat better than expected in winning 1-0 against Norwich and drawing 1-1 to Cardiff, both at home. In away matches they have allowed four goals and scored none, despite actually playing well and looking quite good against Manchester City.

Both Newcastle United and Hull City have allowed five goals, however, Newcastle has only allowed one goal since their opening day 4-0 loss to Manchester City. Newcastle has scored three goals including two last weekend against Aston Villa.

I think that Newcastle’s match against Aston Villa was one that showed more of what Newcastle are capable of and will display through most of this season.

My prediction is a Newcastle win and I would expect them to be able to keep a clean sheet. Hull have not shown much scoring prowess with an average of 10 shots per game with 0.5 goals per game for a 5% conversion rate. This drops even further to seven shots per game and zero goals for a 0% conversion rate when they are away.

Betting Odds: Newcastle win: 1.80-1.83; Draw: 3.50-3.67; Hull win: 4.51-4.94

Form: Newcastle United (L, D, W, W)     Hull City (L, W, L, D)

Prediction: Newcastle United 2 – 0 Hull City
