Everton began their new season with Roberto Martinez in charge with a somewhat disappointing away draw. They started out far too slow and ended up having to come from behind then give up their lead for the draw. Still, there were some positives to take away. Seamus Coleman and Ross Barkley played well and showed what they can do.

West Brom had an even more disappointing start to their season with a loss to Southampton at home on the first day. West Brom still have what it takes to do well this season, but missing Romelu Lukaku will make it more difficult.

This Saturday’s match up should be a good one with both teams getting a chance to show what they can do. My prediction is for an Everton win. They will be playing at home and will have the backing of their fans. It is also a chance for Martinez to get his players to do more with their possession of the ball, especially after showing them what they are capable of.

West Brom will still have a chance to pull something out of this, but they will need to make use of their ball possession and get more than the one shot on goal they managed last weekend.

Form: Everton (D)     West Brom (L)

Prediction: Everton 2 – 0 West Brom
