Summer Transfer News and Rumors Roundup

This week in summer transfer news and rumors had some interesting speculation. See the roundup of the week’s news below.

Perhaps the biggest signing of the week is Chelsea picking up Andre Shurrle for 18.7M from Bayer Leverkusen. He’s yet another attacking midfielder who would most likely be played on the wing for Mourinho. Liverpool picked up another forward by signing 25 year old Lago Aspas from Celta Vigo. Probably not a replacement for Suarez, but certainly an attempt to patch up the massive hole they have in attacking options.

The biggest speculation for the week is surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and his future. He is continually linked with a return to Manchester United, but has now also been linked with a move to big spenders Monaco. He, of course, has done nothing to quell these rumors and keeps the news flowing by insisting he has not signed an extension with Real Madrid.

There are still reports circulating about other EPL managers moving on including Andre Villas Boas heading to PSG and Michael Laudrup also rumored to be leaving Swansea.
