With the summer here it also means that transfer rumor season is here. I will be introducing the transfer news and rumors roundup with a semi-bi-weekly post pulling together some of the week’s news relating to summer transfers in the Premier League and around Europe.
So far the summer news has been dominated by the managerial merry-go-round with the top three clubs. Chelsea’s appointment of Jose Mourinho, and all of the gossip that goes along with it, have taken up the vast majority of commentary.
As with all rumors, transfer news should be taken with a view that they are not always true. Very often the rumors are put out there by the player’s agent or by a club to see if there is any interest from other clubs.
