Thursday’s Champions League draw for the knock out Round of 16 saw Manchester United and Arsenal get some tough competition to get through in order to progress to the quarter finals.
Manchester United has been drawn to play Real Madrid in the knock out stage. This will be their first time meeting since Ronaldo’s £80 million move away from Old Trafford to the Spanish giants in Madrid in 2009. This should be a great match-up with either team coming out the other side in an excellent position to go on to the final. I do think that Manchester United could have a difficult time against them, but definitely have a chance to go through as winners here.
Arsenal were drawn against Bayern Munich, last season’s runners-up to Chelsea. The way that Arsenal has been playing lately, I don’t see them progressing any further than the round of 16.
