Swansea are looking to continue their stylish passing play against a tough West Ham side. Last week saw both teams win as the Swans bagged 5 against QPR and the Hammers managed a 1-0 win over Aston Villa, although those scores will mean nothing coming in to Saturday’s match.
Under Michael Laudrup Swansea look to continue with a quick passing game and maintain possession throughout.
Sam Allardyce and West Ham have typically sought to get a result by any means necessary. Many West Ham supporters have struggled to accept Allardyce, but he will continue to put out a side that seeks to win and keep other teams from scoring.
In this match-up, at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium, West Ham will most likely attempt to clog the midfield and break up Swansea’s passing game while working on the counter attack.
With the recent addition of winger Matt Jarvis they have added another dimension to their attacking game.
Swansea may be without defender Chico Flores (groin injury) but it seems likely that Scott Sinclair will start despite interest from Manchester City.
Despite this I expect Swansea to continue their form and get a win. My pick for the week for the match is Swansea 2 West Ham 0.
